On November 3, the inaugural shipment ceremony of the first integrated waterless ecological sanitation facility container, under the United Nations Global Compact's Belt and Road Initiative Action Platform, was held at Dongfang International Container (Qidong). Tong Fei, Senior Manager for Operations and Strategic Cooperation at the United Nations Global Compact, attended the ceremony.

In 2021, Dongfang International Container (Qidong) unveiled the first public health pilot project under the United Nations Global Compact's Belt and Road Initiative Action Platform – the integrated ecological sanitation facility container. Collaborating closely under the Belt and Road Initiative Action Platform, Dongfang International Container (Qidong) innovated and developed a new model of the integrated waterless ecological sanitation facility container. This facility, utilizing a waterless flush system, reduces the requirements for onsite infrastructure, saves on daily maintenance costs, and thereby improves the living conditions, health, and public safety of residents.

The first shipment of the integrated waterless ecological sanitation facility container marks another significant achievement in the collaboration between Dongfang International Container (Qidong) and the United Nations Global Compact's Belt and Road Initiative Action Platform in the field of medical health and public hygiene, aiding in the successful realization of the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
